Like you, I had a cesarean birth with my first child and had to work through the disappointment, frustration, etc. I plan to have a VBAC this time around and the care that I've been receiving from my midwife and doula makes me believe that my body can do this!! Our stories are quite similar, however. I was planning to give birth via Bradley method: no drugs, but visualizing. E turned out to be frank breech and despite a painful version, which my dr stopped as it was not working and I was in pain, she stayed with that butt in my pelvis. C-section here we go. I did have a repeat with my son, who was in the correct position, but my dr did not want to risk the vbac as I was overweight (by a lot). I'm ok with that since I at least knew what to expect the second time around. I hope things work out better for you.
