New York City Writing Project – Call for Teacher to Teacher Presenters

Teacher to Teacher is, hands down, my favorite NYCWP event every year.
This year, T2T will be held on March 28th, at Lehman College in the Bronx.

It’s a day of great programming in which teachers lead workshops for different curriculum areas. The offerings and subjects change from year to year, based on the presenters but in the past, workshops have been led in classroom technology and math, in addition to ELA and ESL.

There are ALWAYS great keynote speakers and this year is no exception. The speaker this year is Natalie Goldberg, the author of Writing Down the Bones.( For you longtime readers, you may remember that I used to do an activity called Writing Down the Bones with my students that was inspired by this book.) I may not be in the classroom anymore but I am definitely attending this year. Who knows, maybe I’ll present again. For more information about Natalie Goldberg, check out her website: http://nataliegoldberg.com. She has a new book out called Old Friend from Far Away: The Practice of Writing Memoir. It looks like a beautiful book and I can’t wait to read it.

If you are interested in presenting at Teacher to Teacher, please click the link at the top for more information, or contact Joe Bellacero.

Sounds great and I wish I could be there. I was supposed to attend last year and I was in Israel. This year Kevin and I have plans for a small tech retreat joining our two sites.
And it would have been cool. I worked with Natalie in Taos at a writing workshop. Interesting.
    Damn,
