I'm still having the issue discussed above.... I try to embed the code and it just gives me a link. Do you know if that HTML-only network widget has been created yet? Thanks!
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('3059','The Geese at The Goose','I'm still having the issue discussed above....
Interesting! The widget is not a plug-in but the issue could be with hosted sites! I will look more into it and see if we can come up with a workaround.

Update: I did a little research and I think I know what the issue is. It seems that on hosted WP sites, you can only use HTML in the widgets, and javascript is not allowed. I think the solution is to create an HTML-only network widget that hosted-WP bloggers can use.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('2534','Nancy Cavillones','Interesting!
Do you have to have a self-hosted WP blog or can you use the hosted version? I pasted the code into a text widget, and got the same result as Cara. I use WP.com,and with the hosted version, you can't use plug-ins. Is this the issue? Thanks!
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('2533','Alexis','Do you have to have a self-hosted WP blog or can you use the hosted version?
Hi, Cara!
Another WP user is having the same exact issue. The only thing I can think of right is to make sure that you are using WP 2.7 (the latest version). Other than that, I'm not sure what the problem could be without actually going into your backend and doing it myself to see what happens. I would just review the screencast again and see if you can figure out what that "basic step" might be, if that is indeed the issue. In the meantime, I'll keep thinking about other possible reasons.
Thanks!
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('2526','Nancy Cavillones','Hi, Cara!\nAnother WP user is having the same exact issue.
I'm sure I am leaving out a very basic step, but when I follow the directions for addding the widget to my WP blog, I just end up with a link saying: Twitter Moms: The Influential Moms Network in place of the widget. Any tips? Thanks so much!
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('2525','Cara','I\'m sure I am leaving out a very basic step, but when I follow the directions for addding the widget to my WP blog, I just end up with a link saying: Twitter Moms: The Influential Moms Network in place of the widget.
You are a lifesaver!!! I'm so happy you took the time to create an AWESOME screencast like this. So many people are struggling, and you make it look so easy.
